Smart Home Security Solutions in the UK?

I just wondered if anyone can recommend any smart home security solutions besides the Alert Me system that was shown on the gadget show last year? I was just wondering if there's anything else similar that sends you text or email alerts or has motion detection and records images to pc or remote server like IP cameras etc? What other systems are there out there that you would recommend for use in the UK? I have a particular emphasis on systems that will notify by text or email and will also capture images and/or video.
