Why does my pinata bleed when i hit it?

I just bought this pinata of a dog for my 40th birthday from some mexiamerican dude. My wouldn't talk to me so i thought this would remind me of the good old days. I keep hitting it but all it does is whine and bleed. Wheres the candy? What kind of joke is that?
